An Ottawa County Job Fair was held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center. The public was invited to attend and had the opportunity to apply for local job openings, as well as speak with area employers.
“OCIC’s continued support and assistance in our recruiting efforts has been beneficial and is greatly appreciated,” said Elizabeth Morrison, Human Resource Generalist for Northern Manufacturing. “By advertising and opening the job fair up to the public, we were able to secure possible candidates for positions that Northern otherwise may have missed. It is always a pleasure to work with the staff at OCIC and we are looking forward to the next event!”
This job fair also served as an Open House for parents of Ottawa County 9th grade students, who participated in the 4th Ottawa County Career Showcase event, to see firsthand what their kids would be learning and engaging in. The Ottawa County Job Fair was hosted by the Ottawa County Improvement Corporation.
